Might be a little late but, Happy New Year! We figured there should be a new post up here, it's been a while since we've had any news up here.
To keep anyone interested The Manic Zealots are still going strong. We're not doing much match play and many of us are not playing df2 very much at all at the minute. We're still kicking it in various games and spreading the tags wherever that might be.
Hope this year brings you all what you wish, I know for a lot of the Manic Zealots it's a really busy year so good luck to all.
MZ will be hosting an MZ vs ALL this friday from around 7pm GMT right through the night. If this proves successful we may attempt to make this a more regular occasion.
Come along to enjoy TDM stocks and a very high standard of gaming. Plenty of old school names, try get yourself down there and have an awsome night - why not crack open a few beers too ;-)
Friends may be invited over if numbers are low - looking forward to see you all there.
MZ VS ALL - FRIDAY 21ST 7PM GMT ONWARDS
For the first time in MZ history we played an S&D match. We played AS on their favoured gametype S&D, unfortunately it was only a 3v3 in which our friend Pred played alongside us.
Pred, Pos and Aero played the game against a well experienced S&D squad. The first map MZ were shown a lesson in S&D with -AS- clearing all targets. 2nd map was a little tighter with MZ turning up the heat to take the game level at 1 - 1. Finally in the last map it was 3 targets each which drew the game at 1 all.
Good games all involved, thanks once again to -AS- for the friendly match, hope we can repeat it soon.
At time we were shown a lesson or two in S&D and proves that we need to spend more time on these maps if we are to compete in S&D. gg's and good individual performances from MZ.
Last Friday we played AS in a TDM match last friday. MZ had a few issues to begin with and struggled to get the men into the server. On this occasion Pred met up with the squad once again to help us out in our moment of need.
We ended up taking it 2-0 in a tight but extremely well natured game. It's nice to be active again and playing without the bitching once more.
GG's all involved, we play AS again this friday at their preferred game in S&D which will be a new experience for us but a fun one i'm sure.
We'd like to give a warm welcome to SAS who joined us late last week. It's another oldie added to the roster and it's a great pleasure to have him on board.

It is with great pleasure I can announce a new member to our squad. It is once again someone with many many years of experience in df2. He brings along with him a great character, class act and great skill.
Back in the day he was known as Seervus but more recently goes by the name Rotz. Welcome to the squad, we hope you enjoy your stay!

We had a 4 v 4 match against Allied Powers this weekend. I must first apologise for my lack of organisation, but thanks to Pos, Pred, Sam and Masta for sorting things out in the end.
We played TDM best of 3 maps and took the first two. Good organisation and individual skill from all of MZ ensured a comfortable lead in the first holding out for the first map.
Second map was about getting the M4 cover and forcing the power down the middle. Pos did especially well in this map, playing it out without a death, supported by the ever strong Pred, Samiam and Masta. MZ took this map with a decent lead.
GG's to both sides, was a fun game. I believe the dummy was spat out but all has been smoothed over now and I am sure there will be many more fun matches in the future with AP.
